TARYN J. MASON

Executive Director

Taryn Mason received her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University and her master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Taryn grew up in Southern Wisconsin with her parents and younger brother. Prior to moving to Charleston in 2020, Taryn worked for nonprofits in Chicago gaining experience in nonprofit management, event fundraising, and major and planned giving. Before stepping into her role as Executive Director, Taryn was at the Coastal Conservation League and sat on Operation Sight’s Board of Directors. She is currently a Board Member for the Association for Fundraising Professional’s Lowcountry Chapter.

Taryn lives in Charleston with her partner Ryan and their two

rambunctious kittens, Banks and Nica.
